Cahuita is a small village situaded 16 kms north of Puerto Viejo and it is famous for its white sandy beaches, some of them located in the National Park, south of Cahuita.

The National Park is a combination of beautiful beaches, coral reefs and a rainforest where you can easily observe tropical species like monkeys, sloths, frogs, butterflies and more.

Description of the Tour: We will pick you up at your hotel at 08:30 a.m and depart towards the village of Cahuita. There the guide will be waiting for you to start the walk through the park. In this guided hike, which last about 4 hours you will be o able to see the different animals and vegetation which live in the area and to learn about the history of Cahuita. At the end of the walk, the car will take you back to your hotel.

Canopy Tour

Description of the tour:
After picking you up at your hotel, we leave in the direction of the farm Carbon 1
situated 30 minutes from Puerto Viejo. The driver will leave you at the first platform.

Behind two cabes from the entrance of the farm, we will enjoy of the most spectacular cable (285 meters at 80 meters altitude). This will carry us directly to the heart of the forest where we will begin a guided walk by one of our nature guides, becoming aquainted with the flora and fauna of the primary forest, such as how the indigenous community utilizes these plants. After the hike we arrive at another platform to continue our adventure. Our canopy is done by 9 airial platforms and 14 on land counting 2560 meters of cable. From the moment we climb to the 8th platform, we will notnreturn to touch the ground until the final run at which time we will cross with a birds eye view of the jungle.

Our nature guide will take advantage to continue remaining on each platform the
curiosities which are found in the enviroment. On the highest platform we will take a break, where you will be served the fruits and drinks. At the end of the airial run, we have the possibility to make a descend from the last platform rappelling, by a tarzan swing or by a cable to the ground. After this we begin the return, leaving for the two most spectacular cables.

Arenal Volcano

Duration: 1 Night / 2 Days

Includes: Transportation to La Fortuna, 1 night in a nice hotel in La Fortuna town, (private bath, hot water, jacuzzi, swimming pool), tour to Arenal volcano, entrance and dinner at Tabacon Resort, tour to the waterfall by horse.

For years the Arenal volcano was temporarily dormant until July 1968. Since then,
Arenal has been producing explotions and glowing lava flows almost everyday. This is way you can not miss Arenal volcano and its unforgettable view in your trip.

Description of the Tour:
Comfortable A/C microbus will pick you up at your hotel and take you La Fortuna, a small town next to the spectacular Arenal volcano. Just. after your arrival to the hotel you will be picked up and taken to the west side of the volcano which is one of the best places for nighttimes views.

After that they will take you to Tabacon Resort which features hot tubs, water slides, waterfalls and 12 cold and hot swimming pools surrounded by beautiful gardens.

In the restaurant of the resort dinner will be served just in front of the volcano.

The day after at 08:00 a.m you will visit the waterfall of La Fortuna by horse or if you prefer by car.

the day after you can continue your trip to San José or to the Pacific Coast (Manuel Antonio, Tamarindo,Flamingo, Conchal, Playas del Coco, Ocotal).

Tortuguero Canals Economic

Duration: 2 Days / 1 Night

Includes: Transportation by car from your hotel to the port of Moín (1 way), roundtrip to Tortuguero(private bath-hot shower-clean), breakfast, tour through the canals of the national park, entrance to the national park, english speaking guide.

In the Tortuguero National Park there has been 11 different habitats identified which makes it one of the most biologically diverse wildlife areas of this country. The most important natural resource of this park is the water that is found in the canals and lagoons of the tropical rainforest which is very humid. The great bio-diversity of this park makes it possible to observe very different species such as jaguars, sloths, tapirus, tepezcuintles, monkeys (white face, howler). There are also reptilians such as caimans, crocodiles, frogs and turtles (green, caray, baula and caballera).

Description of the tour:
We will pick you up at your hotel at 08:00 a.m and depart towards the port of Moin. We leave the port at about 10:00 a.m with a comfortable boat passing down the main canal of 80 Kms until the town of Tortuguero. In this guided trip we will be able to see the change of vegetation and animals which live in this area.

The trip itself lasts more or less 4 hours with a stop at the beginning to allow you to buy driks for the trip and another 2 hours later in Parismina where a little restaurant is situaded. We will reach Tortuguero at 02:00 p.m approximately. The guide will take you to the hotel and during the afternoon you will have the possibility to visit the town and the museum of natural history of C:C:C which is going to introduce you to the turtle nesting. At night, only from June to October, it is possible to take a guided tour to the beach to observe the turtles nesting.

The morning after at 06:00 a.m, we will make a tour by boat going down a secondary canal of the park where you will be able to see various animals such as crocodiles, caimans and river turtles and much more.

Once at the hotel again, they will give you breakfast, you rest for around one hour and later you will return by boat to Moín.

Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge

The beauty of this refuge is incredible because of its forests, lagoons, coral reefs and white sand beaches and is the most isolated and most exotic place of all the South Caribbean coast. This refuge protects 4500 ha. Of sea, 15 km of coast and 5000 ha. of plants and hills which maximum height is 115 mt.
Apart from the vegetation, we will also observe animals like monkeys, toucans, sloths, snakes and caimans.

Description of the tour:
We will pick you up at 07:00 a.m at your hotel to go by car to Manzanillo where our guide is waiting for you to start the adventure through the jungle of the Refuge. Monkeys, toucans, sloths and lot of different birds will accompand us for the 4 hour hike through the jungle.
The lunch will be served in the most famous restaurant of Manzanillo, Maxi, where the car will be waiting for us to take us back to Puerti Viejo.
